Chinatown is not open early in the morning and late at night, so it is quiet before and after buisness hours, so I recommend taking a walk in Yamashita Park and by the ocean that is less than 5 minutes away. The streets in the center of Chinatown at night are bright with restaurants, but late at night it is dark with homeless people sleeping here and there. Even if you get tired of Chinese food, if you walk towards Motomachi, you will find plenty of cafes and bread shops. The small Chinese restaurant in front of the hotel had people waiting in line.

Staff and Guests

There were several staff members that welcomed me at the entrance. They were all very kind and helpful. About half of the guests were Japanese, and there were elderly couples and families with small children. The hotel was always busy with events, but it was never to noisy.

Access

There is a Minatomirai tour bus stop in front of the hotel. There are also buses that will take you to Haneda Airport. It is about a 3 minute walk from Minato Mirai Line Motomachi-Chukagai Station and 8 minutes walk from Keihin Tohoku Line Ishikawacho Station. It’s located in the middle of Yokohama Chinatown, so you will have no trouble finding a place to eat. There are many convenience stores, pharmacies, and souvenir shops nearby as well.

Summary

I chose this hotel in terms of location and I was very satisfied with the convenience. I enjoyed the quiet Chinatown early in the morning and the beautiful Chinatown late at night. In terms of hospitality, the staff were very kind and attentive. It was very helpful that they were lending out umbrellas. The design of the hotel was very classic. However, the room was a little old and uncomfortable. It would have been nicer if it was kept a little cleaner, but I was very satisfied with the location of the hotel.
