What is the appearance of the hotel? Check the entrance and reception
The hotel was modern Japanese which was very stylish.
The lobby was hard to seen from the outside because of the wooden design on the outside.
At night the wooden design was lit-up.
Hotel sign next to the entrance.
A small Japanese garden next to the entrance.
The entrance was not big.
There were two doors at the entrance, and the door leading straight to the lobby had a golden design which was very stylish.

There was a lobby as soon as I entered the hotel. The lobby was not big, but it was simple and chic.
A place to sit down.
The front desk was right across the entrance. Behind the front desk was a Kanazawa style art which would look nice in photos. It was crowded when I checked in, but there were many staff standing at the front desk, so I was able to check in smoothly.

There was a pathway leading to a street behind the hotel.

What is the Superior Twin Room like?
Guest room entrance door.
The superior twin room is 23.5m² and was very spacious. There was plenty of space to open up my luggage on the floor even with two people. It was very clean and comfortable.
The room felt a bit dark, perhaps due to bad weather, but the lights here and there created a stylish atmosphere.
There were two twin beds. The beds were spacious and big enough for one person. The mattress was a little stiff, but it was comfortable to sleep on. There were both hard and soft pillows prepared, so I could sleep very comfortably.
Above the headboard was a colorful Japanese design using Kaga Yuzen.
Clock, outlet and light switch on the bedside table.
TV across the bed.
Luggage stand under the TV.
There was a telephone, tissue, memo set, and flashlight on the narrow counter next to the TV.
A humidifier
There was a table and two chairs by the window. The table was not big, but it had enough space to work or eat lightly.
The room seen from the window.
There were two tall and narrow windows.
There was nothing special about the view form the room.

Iron, ironing board and slippers.
Shoehorn and cloth brush.
The safe was a type which you punch in a security number.

Restaurants in the hotel
There is a restaurant on the 1st floor called “Noka Manna Maniwa.” They were serving shabu-shabu for dinner, but I only had breakfast. Breakfast was a Japanese/Western buffet, with lots of dishes using Kaga vegetables and ingredients from Hokuriku.
The restaurant was calm and stylish. There was a garden outside, so you can sit at a counter facing the garden if you like.
Small dishes.
Rice and pickles.
Scrambled eggs, sausages and so on.
Shabu-shabu boiled on the spot.
Jibuni and Oden
Cereal and yogurt
Bread corner
Salad and fruit
Drinks
There were so many dishes to pick from, I ended up trying everything. They were all very delicious.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel is located in the downtown area, facing the main street, but the inside of the hotel was very quiet. There are many shops and restaurants around the hotel. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel which is very convenient. Popular sightseeing spots such as “Kanazawa Castle,” “Kenrokuen Garden,” “Oyama Shrine” and “Omicho Market” were also within walking distance form the hotel.

Staff and Guest
The staff were all very helpful. They explained about the room and facilities very carefully. I saw a couple of Japanese people, but there were mostly Asians and Westerners. I had the impression that there were many families staying.

Access
The bus stop is right next to the hotel, so it was very convenient to move around by bus. Because the hotel faces the main street, there are many taxis and it is easy to catch them. Unfortunately, there is no hotel parking, so you will need to park your car at the partner parking lot for 1000 yen per night. It is a 17-minute walk from JR Kanazawa Station. You can walk if you like, but if you have a lot of luggage, I recommend taking a taxi.

Summary
I had a nice stay at “Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa.” Since the hotel opened in 2019, it was very new and clean. The room I stayed in this time was spacious and well maintained, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. There were a lot of dishes to pick from for breakfast and Kaga vegetables are also used, so I recommend trying the breakfast and enjoy food that you can only have in Hokuriku. Access was good and I was able to move around without any inconveniences. I would love to stay at this hotel again if I get the chance to.
