"Hotel Intergate Kanazawa" is a hotel that opened in March 2019. It is located right near Minami-cho Oyama Shrine bus stop, so it is convenient for both sightseeing and for business. In the lounge, you can relax while sipping coffee that is locally popular. The hotel is a cozy and stylish space with contemporary art and designs based on the traditions and culture of Kanazawa decorated here and there.

The hotel was a bit off the main street. There were not many cars passing on the street in front of the hotel, so it was quiet.

The lobby was not big and there were no sofas to sit on. Guests were relaxing at the lounge next to the lobby.

There was a closet, a full-length mirror and a bathroom on the left.

The room is 17-19 square meters in size, which is not extremely big, but there was plenty of space.

The room had a warm feeling to it and was very relaxing. It was cleaned very well and was comfortable to spend time in. One unfortunate thing was that I could hear people talking in the hallway and in the room next door and also doors opening and closing. It was quiet at night, so the noise did not bother me too much.

The bed was spacious and comfortable to sleep on. The sheets were clean and felt nice on my skin, so I was able to get a good nights sleep.

There were both hard pillows and soft pillows prepared on the bed.

Restaurants in the hotel

There were no restaurants in the hotel, but there was breakfast, coffee time, tea time, happy hour and night time service at the lounge next to the lobby.

Hotel Surroundings

The hotel is located in the middle of the city, but it is off the main street which is quiet. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. There are also a couple of comvinence stores around the hotel which is very convenient. Popular sightseeing spots such as “Kanazawa Castle,” “Kenroku-Garden,” “Oyama Shrine” and “Omicho Market” are also within walking distance, so the hotel is in a very convenient location.

Staff and Guests

The staff were very friendly and casual. I was able to check in very comfortably. No matter what I asked, the staff were always ready to help me. I saw many Japanese people staying, but also many foreigners, such as European and American. There were many very friendly customers and I was able to have a nice conversation the elevator.

Access

The bus stop is a minute away on foot, so it was convenient to travel by bus.
It takes about 10 minutes by bus from JR Kanazawa Station. It is not an impossible distance to walk, but if you have a lot of luggage, I recommend using a taxi or a bus. Unfortunately, there is no hotel parking, so you must park your car at a nearby coin parking.

Summary

I had a nice stay at this hotel. The hotel just opened in 2019, so it was new and clean. The room was also very clean, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. The designs in the hotel were all very stylish. Access from the hotel was good, so I was able to move around places without any inconveniences. I would love to stay at this hotel again if I get the chance to.
