"Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel" is located in the center of the Bay Area, and the characteristic appearance of the half-moon form that enlivens the sail of the ship, which is almost always mentioned on the cover of the guidebook of Yokohama. The hotel is adjacent to "Pacifico Yokohama," and close to "Queens Square Yokohama," "Yokohama Cosmo Town," and "Red Brick Warehouse," making it an ideal location for both sightseeing and for business. This hotel is a popular for its great view of the cityscape.

The “Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel” is located inside “Pacifico Yokohama,” one of the world’s largest complex MICE facility and is about a 10-minute walk from JR Sakuragicho Station. The exterior is designed in the image of a sail that catches the wind, and is a landmark in the Yokohama Bay area.
This is the sub entrance on the 2nd floor. The sub-entrance faces the circular open space of Pacifico Yokohama.

The lobby was a very open space. The front desk is on the 2nd floor, so those who enter the hotel from the main entrance on the 1st floor will have to go up to the 2nd floor.
There was a flowers arrangement at the sub entrance.
There was a lounge & bar “Marine Blue” on the 2nd floor where the front desk is located, so you can take a break or kill time here.

What is the Grand Deluxe Twin Bay View Room like?

There was a closet and cafe corner on the right and a bathroom and a full length mirror on the left.
The room was 38 square meters in size and was very big. It was a classic and calm room with dark brown furnitures.
There were two semi double size beds.
There was an LED reading light on the headboard.
There was an alarm clock, phone and a lamp on the bedside table.

You can enjoy a nice view of the ocean from the bed.
Across the bed was a TV and a high quality desk.

There were pajamas prepared in the top drawer.
There was plenty of space to work at the desk.
There were also outlets on the desk.
Two free bottles of water were prepared on the desk.
There was a table and two armchairs by the window.
The window was very big.
You can sit by the window and enjoy the view. There was even a cushion prepared.
The view of the bay was beautiful. I could also see the Yokohama Bay Bridge in the distance.

Bathroom on the left side of the entrance.
There was a bathtub/shower, sink and a toilet all in one room.
The bathtub was deep and wide, so I was able to lay-down and relax.
There was a shower fixed on the wall and a removable hand shower.

Hand soap prepared on the sink.
In addition to AGRARIA shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand & body lotion, amenities such as toothbrush & toothpaste, shaving set, shower cap, hair elastic, cotton, cotton swab, comb, hairbrush and bath salt were prepared.

There was an outlet above the sink.

Closet and safe
Closet by the entrance.
The closet was big with plenty of storage space. There were total of ten hangers.
Baggage rack, scale and slippers were prepared inside.
Iron and ironing board.
There was a safe in a drawer under the TV.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a cafe corner next to the closet.
There was an electric kettle, ice bucket, cups, glasses, instant coffee and tea, sugar and milk.
There was also a fridge with alcohol, soda, chocolate and other snacks prepared inside.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
There were six restaurants and two lounges and bars in the hotel. I will introduce you to some of them.
There was a Japanese restaurant called “Nadaman” on the 4th floor where I had breakfast.
You can enjoy a nice view of the bay while having breakfast.
I had a set meal that was very healthy.
There was a buffet restaurant called “Ocean Terrace” on the 1st floor. There were more than 50 kinds of dishes to pick from.
There was the Italian restaurant called “La Vera” on the 2nd floor. You can have authentic Italian dishes such as homemade pasta and pizza made in the oven.
There was also a lounge and bar called “Marine Blue” on the 2nd floor.
You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Yokohama Port and it was a bright and open space.

On the 4th floor was a “Harbor View Fitness Club” exclusive to those who are a member of the club. However, those staying at the hotel can get in with a discount. They have a gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi and a sauna.

Hotel Surroundings
Located in the heart of Yokohama Bay Area, the hotel has easy access to “Pacifico Yokohama,” “Yokohama Cosmo World,” “Queen’s Square Yokohama” and more. There is a convenience store in “Queens Square Yokohama.”

Staff and Guests
The front desk was crowded, but there were enough staff standing at the front desk, so I did not have to wait too long. Most of the guests staying at this hotel were Japanese. There were groups of people staying for a live performance in Pacifico Yokohama.

The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Minatomirai Station. There is a walkway with a roof, so it is very convenient even when raining.

“Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel” is a hotel that has grown along with the development of the Yokohama Bay Area. You can go sightseeing in the bay area and come back to a comfortable room in the hotel and spend a relaxing time indoors. There is a cushion by the window, so you can sit and relax while enjoy a beautiful view of the city. If I visit Yokohama again, I would love to stay at this hotel.
