Detailed review & photos “Orchard Hotel Singapore”

The exterior looks a bit old-fashioned, but from the old days it looks like it looks like it’s built in this prime location. As it was a big drive in area, I thought it would be convenient to come by taxi, as several cars can park outside .

It was a chic, high-class color, and it was a better looking front desk than I had imagined.

It was a busy time with guests checking in, so I waited until my turn came, but the front staff seemed to be giving a good guide, so I didn’t feel as if I had waited so long time.

If you go up the escalator from the lobby, you will be connected to the restaurants “La Terrasse,” “HUA TING” and the shopping mall.

There was plenty of space to get into the bedroom space and there was a large full-sized mirror on the wall, which was perfect for checking your outfit before going out.

There was a bathroom on the left side of the room.

As it was twin bedroom of a corner room, it felt wide. It was a little dim at night because the lighting in the room was only indirect lighting. The space from the bed to the window side is large and there is no need to worry about outside sounds, so it is a satisfying room.

There were two single beds, and I could sleep comfortably because it was wider than a normal single size bed. The mattress was a little softer than usual. After sleeping for a while, my waist got tired, so I think I was turning more than usual.

There were tables on both sides of the bed. There was a phone, a TV remote control, program guide, alarms and lights, and an air conditioning adjustment panel.

There was a TV opposite the bed, and a desk and a chair under it. There were also two outlets on the desk.

The bathroom was large and the mirror was very large as well, so I felt bright.

There was bathtub and a shower room.

I did not get in the bathtub this time, but because it was a deep bathtub, I think it would be pleasant if you put hot water into it.

Shower booth is a little narrow. The water pressure in the shower was good, but because it was narrow, it was a little difficult to move around.

In the shower booth, Millennium brand shampoo, conditioner and body soap were prepared. The feeling of using shampoo and conditioner was not bad, but my hair became dry the next morning.

There were also amenities on the wash basin. The amenities included toothbrush, shave, cotton set, shower cap, sanitary bag and Millennium brand body cream.

There was also a hair dryer in the storage rack in the closet. However, there was no outlet for a dryer in the bathroom, and I had to dry my hair in the bedroom.

The closet included an iron and ironing board, a bathrobe, a safe, a storage rack, a laundry bag and a hair dryer. Because the space in front of the closet is large, I think it is just right to use the iron.

The safety box was a common type of setting a PIN.

There was a cafe corner next to the closet. On the counter there were a kettle, ice bucket, tea set, cups, water and snacks for a fee. When I was drinking in the room at night, I wanted ice so I went to the club lounge and got ice from the Ice Pale.

A refrigerator was stored under the counter.

I was happy that I could drink cola, cola light and sprite from the fridge for free. Beer and carbonated water were charged.

There were two restaurants in the hotel, “Hua Ting Restaurant” and “La Terrasse.” “Orchard Cafe” will also open in November 2018. There was an “Intermezzo Bar” on the lobby level, but it did not seem to be open. In addition, there was “Mon Bijou” and “Hua Ting Steamboat” in the shopping mall next door.

In addition to afternoon tea, at “La Terrasse”you can also enjoy Chaozhou cuisine (local cuisine among Chinese dishes) at night.

This time, I stayed at the Premier Club Room, so I was able to use the Club Lounge. The Club Lounge offers free services such as a breakfast buffet, evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and light snacks during opening hours. In addition, there are benefits such as free use of the meeting room in the club lounge up to 2 hours a day and free up to 2 points for laundry.

I had a breakfast buffet at the club lounge. Here are salads, fruit and cheese.

There was also a computer and a printer in the club lounge.

There was an outdoor pool on the 4th floor. There were a lot of tables and chairs by the pool, so I think it would be nice to taste the drinks bought at the poolside bar.

The entire pool is spacious, but because it is a hotel in the city, it is surrounded by buildings and the view is not so good. Unfortunately when I stayed, it was cloudy, but if the weather is nice you can see the big sky above.

There was also a large Jacuzzi. Even if it becomes cool in the evening, you can also relax in the Jacuzzi, so if you are tired of playing in the pool, you might be able to spend a luxurious time buying a drink and taking a rest, or in the jacuzzi warming up.

There was also a fitness center next to the pool. The view from the fitness center is good as it overlooks the pool.

5 minutes on foot to “TANG PLAZA.”

The ION shopping center is also a 5-minute walk away.

About half of the guests we saw were Chinese tourists/adult groups, and the other half seemed to have a large number of Western customers. I didn’t see many children, so I think there weren’t so many family members. The wedding ceremony was also held, so I saw many people dressed up.

There is a food court in the basement of ISETAN, where you can enjoy a variety of local foods.
