Detailed review & photos “Macdonald Windsor Hotel”

It was a little hard to find the hotel, because it was built going to the back. There was a sign of a steak house, so I thought it was a mistake at first. There were many people lined up in front of the stake house, and a lot of them were guests staying at the hotel. The appearance of the hotel is simple and not very British.

The staff at the front desk was very friendly and carried my suitcases for me.

The room was spacious and a very comfortable space.

There was only a chair for one, which was a little inconvenient.

There was a desk and a TV across the bed. A hairdryer was in the drawer.

The closet and counter was cute.

The bed and pillows were fluffy and very comfortable. The bed was wide enough, I slept well without having to worry about noise coming from outside.

There was no balcony, and only a window that could be opened a couple of inches.

The room was on the first floor, so the view was not great, but it was nice to be able to get fresh air into the room. It felt nice to turn the air conditioner off and leave the window open when going to bed.

There was a shower without a curtain or a door, which was a little surprising.

The water pressure was just right, but water splashed on the toilet. It was a little inconvenient.

I was curious about the red string hanging next to the toilet and pulled it, and was surprised when it was an emergency alarm and staff came running over.

The floor became wet, but when I opened the door and let the air conditioner in, everything dried quickly.

Amenities were soap, bath gel, shampoo, shower cap, and shampoo and bath gel. The bottles were small. I stayed for two nights, but the soap was not exchanged, so I asked the front desk to bring some new bottles. Towels and bathrobes were high quality, which was very nice.

The closet was spacious.

There were about 10 hangers inside, so it was convenient. There were expensive looking slippers inside as well.

There was a safe in the closet.

At the cafe corner, there was instant coffee, sugar, fresh milk, hot chocolate, teabag tea (English breakfast), three Nespresso, and two Walkers shortbreads.

There was nothing in the fridge.

There is also a lounge bar serving beer and wine. They also served food as well.

There were elderly couples, families with children and so on. Most of the people were staying to see Windsor Castle, and there were many overseas customers and people who came from other parts of England.

The hotel is located in a corner with souvenir shops and shops related to Windsor Castle. Restaurants and McDonalds are also nearby. Above all, Windsor Castle was visible from the entrance of the hotel.
