I chose "Hilton Manchester Deansgate," because I wanted a spend a special time to celebrate my partner's birthday. The Hilton Hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Manchester City, and is a symbol of modernization in Manchester, where there are only a few tall buildings around. Also, Hilton Hotel's “Cloud 23” bar is a high-quality bar that is popular in Manchester. I waned to enjoy dinner with a beautiful scenery.

What is the City View Queen Bed Room like?

The room seen from the window. It was very clean, spacious and cozy. The room had some indirect lighting and it was nice to be able to adjust the brightness of the room.
This time I requested a room with a city view. It was a room with a good view overlooking Manchester City. In Manchester, the Hilton Hotel is the only tall building, and there are no other tall buildings around, so you can see a beautiful view from many rooms. At night, the city lights were beautiful and I was able to fully enjoy the night view as well as the daytime view.
The bed was comfortable, and you can choose between soft pillows and hard pillows which was very nice.
There is a TV across the bed.
There is a desk next to the TV, and a desk and a chair by the window. On the desk is a memo set, a phone, a magazine and a mirror above.

Bathroom
The bathroom was very clean. There was a bathtub on the left side after entering the bathroom.

The shower was big and heavy, but the water pressure was just right and I was able to use it easily.
There is a sink with a magnifying mirror on the side.
There was a shelf with towels in it.
There were two extra toilet papers prepared by the toilet.
On the sink were two shampoos, two conditioners, one soap for the bath, one soap for the sink, four cotton swabs, one shower cap, and a tissue box. There was no toothbrush, but I asked the front desk and they gave me one for free.

Closet and safe
There is a closet next to the TV.
There were many hangers, bathrobes, a baggage rack, iron and an ironing board in the closet.

Mini bar and cafe
The cafe corner was on the storage shelf. There was an electric kettle, ice bucket, 2 coffee cups, 2 wine glasses, 2 spoons, 4 instant coffee, 6 tea packs, 2 hot chocolate sticks, 4 white sugar, 4 silver sugar and brown sugar. Everything needed to make tea and coffee was provided, so it was very convenient.
On the bedside table, there was a 500ml bottle of water, one carbonated water and two glasses. In Manchester, you can drink tap water. In addition, all the equipment such as glasses provided was clean.
There was also a fridge.

The price is a little expensive, but you can see the superb view, so it is recommended that you go there when you stay.

There is a pool in the hotel. It is a 25 meter pool with a width of about 2 lanes, and it was crowded with guests such as families and couples who enjoy swimming. There was also a jacuzzi in the pool, and it was a comfortable space. You can rent a large bath towel for free. The pool is open until 9pm. In Manchester, where the sunshine hours vary greatly depending on the season, during this summer, you can enjoy the night view in the last hour of use. If you stay during the winter, you can enjoy the night view from the pool for a longer time.

Located in the heart of Manchester City, the hotel is within walking distance to all major attractions. Staff and customer base
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of staff, so everything went smoothly.
There were people staying for business, and also families and couples. There seemed to be more people staying for business than tourists.

It takes about an hour from the airport if you ride the tram. From Deangate Station, which is the nearest tram station from Hilton Hotel, to Hilton Hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It is an area where you can enjoy the nightlife.
The distance from the Hilton Hotel to Manchester City Center is about 20 minutes on foot, and you can walk to supermarkets, restaurants, shopping centers and souvenir shops. There’s almost everything you need in the city, so it is very convenient.

Summary
This is the second time I have stayed at a hotel in Manchester. I used to stay at a 4-star hotel near the airport, but the staff were very unfriendly and I felt uncomfortable. However, the staff at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate is very nice and I felt very comfortable in the hotel. This time I was staying to celebrate my partners birthday, so I was able to get a glass of sparkling wine for free. The hotel price includes the pool and gym, so it was reasonable. I would love to stay at this hotel again.
