I chose “Clarion Collection Heart & Garter Hotel & Spa,” because of its location and reputation. I've always wanted to visit Windsor Castle, because I am interested in at Royal Weddings, so I was looking for a hotel near the Castle. This hotel was in front of Windsor Castle and I thought it was convenient for sightseeing. Also, since it is close to the station and there are many restaurants and shops around, it was convenient to do anything and I would be able to arrange my trip flexibly. It was not far from Heathrow Airport either.
The appearance was very classic and high-class. It was a building where you can feel the old history.
The outside street was crowded with many people and the restaurant on the first floor was crowded as well.

There is an elevator and stairs on the left and a front desk at the far right.
The front desk was small. The staff were very speedy and worked properly. Hospitality was not great, but I think they were just responding to orders.

The room was classy and an amazing space.
The bed sheets were clean and the hardness of the pillows and mattresses was just right for me. I was able to sleep in a quiet environment.
In front of the bed was TV and a desk. Because it is an old hotel, there was no air conditioner but a fan instead.
There was a window in the room, but it was facing the opposite direction of the caste, so I was only able to see buildings.

The bathroom is classically decorated in white, and you can feel the elegance. The size of the bathroom was just right and it was cleaned very well. The water pressure for the shower was just right and the temperature could be adjusted easily. I chose a room with a bathtub so I was able to spend a relaxing bath time.
The faucets were European style.
There was a towel hanger by the entrance.
Amenities included conditioning shampoo, body lotion, shower gel and hand soap. I only used the hand soap, but it was refreshing and felt very good.
There was a hairdryer in the drawer of the dresser.

There was a closet next to the bed. The size was just right for one person.
There was a safe, iron and an ironing board in the closet. The desk and the closet had the same color.
The safe was a type which you set a number to lock it.

There was a cafe corner on the dresser. There were an electric kettle, a mug, spoons, tea bags, instant coffee and milk.

There is a restaurant in the hotel, but I did not eat there this time.
There was also a bar. It was a very luxurious space.

Because the hotel is located at the center of the city of Windsor, it is very lively. It was crowded with many people until the sun went down. This year, the Royal Wedding took place at Windsor Castle, so Fever still continued in the summer and many people were lining up to enter the castle. The city itself seems very safe, and you can walk outside at night. Since the station is about 5 minutes away on foot, I think it is a convenient place to travel by train.

I only saw one staff, but the response was very speedy and proper.
There were many young guests staying alone or with friends. I personally think that many middle-class tourists were staying.

There is a non-transfer route bus from Heathrow to Windsor Castle. I was able to get on by paying cash. Because the hotel is located at the center of the city of Windsor, it was convenient. There were clothes shops, bars and restaurants, everything within walking distance. There is also a large supermarket where you can buy food and drinks without having to go to a restaurant. The restaurant also has a wide variety of cuisines from all countries. Because Windsor Castle is right in front of you, it is an excellent location for visiting the castle.

It was a little hard for me to not have an air conditioner in the room. There was an electric fan and the window opened, but noise would come in if the window is open. The sound of British police and ambulances are loud, so you may feel uncomfortable. Next time I would love to stay if it is a room with a view of the Windsor Castle. The interior is British style and it was nice to be able to stay in such hotel. Personally, the room itself was neither good nor bad. It is a good hotel to stay at if you want to have fun with your friends or family. The bus stop and the station are close, and it is a typical British classic hotel that is not bad for the price.
