I decided to stay at "The Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center," because I was on a business trip in the riverside area and it was convenient for downtown activities. The downtown is lined up with small restaurants, so I thought it would be an enjoyable hotel stay. Also, if you stay at this hotel, you can go hiking at Libido Mountain, which was another activity that I was looking forward to.

The hotel is a large white building facing the streets and standing magnificently. It looked much bigger and than the Hyatt next door.

There was a place to drive through in front of the entrance.

The ceiling was very high.
Chairs and tables were set up in the lobby.
There was a grand piano and relaxing sofas lit up with fancy lights which created a luxurious atmosphere.
A welcome drink was also prepared in the lobby and I was able to drink freely.

What is the One Bedroom Suite like?
Guest room entrance door.
The room was renovated, old furniture was removed, and it was different from the last time I stayed.
It was an old hotel before, but it is a clean and modern room. The room itself is a large room without partitions. The view and sunshine coming in through the large windows made the room feel spacious.
The bed mattress was also new. I do not know what kind of spring it is, but it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel.
On the bed a was room service instruction and chocolates.
There is a big TV, a desk and a chair across from the bed.
Next to the desk is a storage space.

There was a large window, and the upper half could be opened partially. It felt to good to open up the window and let nice wind come in.
Even though there was a pool right by my room, the sound of people playing did not bother me at all.

Bathroom
The bathroom was also renovated. After renovation, a room with a jacuzzi seems to be only this room, so I was lucky to be upgraded here. I was able to enjoy my bath time.
Towels, soap, body soap and body lotion were prepared on the bathtub.
Apart from the bathtub, there was also a spacious shower room. There were two types of showers: fixed and height adjustable and removable hand shower. Both water pressure and drainage was good with no problems.

There was a digital clock that appeared on the mirror.
Amenities included hand soap, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, and body lotion.

Closet and safe
There was a functional and compact closet.
There were bathrobes, an iron, an ironing board, a safe, and enough hangers in the closet. There was enough space to hang my clothes. The drawers in the closet were deep.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a cafe corner next to the closet. Here, an ice pail and free water bottles were prepared.
There was a coffee maker and chamomile tea. The taste was normal.
There was a fridge under the TV, but there was nothing inside.

Restaurants in the hotel
There was a restaurant and bar in hotel. You can order food from the restaurant at the bar as well.
There was a Happy Hour, which made it easy for the guests to visit the bar.
There was a small shop next to the front desk.
Drinks, snacks and other small goods were sold here.

This Concierge Lounge is a lounge for Marriott elite guests and can only be entered with a private room card key.
I had breakfast here.
There was a lot to pick from.

There was also a terrace seating.
You can see the convention center from the terrace.
You can also see Mount Libido as well.
Many kinds of alcohol were prepared for cocktail time.

Facilities in the hotel
There was a large outdoor pool and a jacuzzi. At the foot of the street there were trees that were planted and made the pool a private area.
Kids are swimming in the pool on weekends and most adults are enjoying sitting by the pool.
There was also a fire pit next to the pool.

Environment around the hotel
There are no major tourist spots around the hotel, so there were not so many tourists, and it’s an area where locals gather. It is safe because people are coming and going, but it is not recommended to go out at night. There are a variety of restaurants to pick from.

Staff and customer base
The hotel staff are friendly. The housekeepers were always smiling as well.
The hotel is right next to the convention center, so there were many people who are participating in the convention staying here. The hotel is close to Ontario Airport, so I also saw pilots and cabin attendants staying as well.

Access
The Amtrak stops right by the hotel, so it is convenient to get here by train. There are many restaurants, so you will have no trouble finding places to eat. The area around the hotel is safe unless you walk around sketchy areas.

Summary
Mount Libido is a popular mountain for a day-to-day hiking. As you go up, the scenery is nice and you can take good pictures. In addition, this city is a fun city to enjoy food. The hotel’s Concierge Lounge was excellent and the views over the downtown Riverside were really nice. I was very happy that the rooms were renovated, and I was able to spend a relaxing time at this hotel. I would love to come back here again.
