I chose "Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa," because I had a company meeting at this hotel. Although it was not my choice, it was along the beach and and the interior looked very clean. Even though I was not able to go sightseeing, I was looking forward to staying near the beach and to stay at a resort.

The hotel is a nice building with a red roof, and there are no tall buildings around the hotel, so the scenery was nice.
There was a drive-in at the entrance.
The entrance was spacious.
The lobby had a high ceiling with large windows, allowing sunlight to shine through.
There were blue lights here and there, creating a modern atmosphere.
There was a big monitor behind the front desk. The staff were very friendly and I was able to check in at ease.

What is the King Bed Room with a Pool View like?
Guest room door.
There was a closet on the right and a bathroom on the left.
The interior design is simple with mainly white and wood. There was enough space in the room.
The bed was king size bed and it was very big for one person to lay on. I was able to sleep very comfortably.
A TV and a desk across the bed.
There was a coffee set on the desk. In addition, there were many plug-ins which was very convenient.

The best part about the room was the view of the pool and the ocean.
There was a chair prepared on the balcony and there was a wall that divides each balcony, so it was very private.
The balcony overlooks the hotel’s outdoor pool. The pool surrounded by palm trees created a resort atmosphere. In addition, I was able to see the ocean in the background.

Bathroom
There was a shower room, which was rectangle and spacious.
There was a rain shower and a removable hand shower. Water pressure was strong enough as well.
Water splattered on the floor when taking a shower. It was a little cold when taking a shower.
The sink was spacious.
Tissues and amenities were also prepared on the sink. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and body lotion were prepared. Shampoos and conditioner may be a little small for some people.
There was also soap. There were plenty of amenities prepared, so it was very convenient.
Towels and a hair dryer were prepared under the sink.

Closet and safe
There was a closet right by the entrance.
There were hangers, bathrobes, iron, ironing board and so on prepared in the closet.

Mini bar and cafe
There was a cafe corner on the desk with a coffee maker, three packs of coffee, and cups. There were no tea bags which was a little disappointing.
Ice pale and glasses.
There was a fridge with two free bottles of Fiji water.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
This time, a company-sponsored meal was prepared, so I did not eat at the restaurant, but there was a restaurant called “OverVue Lounge and Deck.”
You can have drinks at the counter at night.
There was also a terrace seat at the restaurant, and it would be nice to eat outside when the weather is nice.
There was also a shop selling souvenirs in the hotel.

Facilities in the hotel
The hotel has a resort-style outdoor pool surrounded by tropical plants such as palm trees. The pool is free for guests staying at the hotel.
At night, a company-sponsored BBQ was held around the pool, so it was nice to enjoy the pool that was lit up.
There was a gym.
I did not have the time to workout at the gym, but various equipments were prepared.

Hotel surroundings
There seemed to be shops around the hotel where you can buy water, but there wasn’t much to see. If you want to explore the area, you will need a car. Also, there is really nothing by the beach. This hotel is more for relaxing.

Staff and guests
The front desk responded smoothly and was able to check in comfortably. In addition, my company hosted events at the hotel every day, but I was able spend a leisurely time at the hotel.
Most of the guests staying seemed to be employees of the same company. I do not know what the guests are like normally.

Access
It took about 30 minutes by car from the airport and US $40 by Uber. There are not many shops around the hotel and the beach is close. There were not may people around which made the area feel safe. The location is quiet and relaxing. This time I was staying on a business trip, so I didn’t have time for shopping.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. The best thing was the view from the resort pool surrounded by palm trees and the room overlooking the sea. Even though I was on a business trip, I was very content. Also, because the beach is very close to the hotel, I had a little time to enjoy the beach with my friends. It was as luxurious as a private beach with not many people around. I really wanted to enjoy the beach and pool more. I highly recommended staying at this hotel even when not on a business trip. However, since there is nothing other than the beach around the hotel, so you will need a car to go sightseeing.
