I decided to stay at the "Hyatt House Jersey City" because I was able to stay at Hyatt hotels for free with the benefits of my credit card "World of Hyatt visa." I chose this hotel because I can see the beautiful night view from the New Jersey side, which I can never see from inside NYC. This hotel is also for long-term guests, and the rooms are equipped with a kitchen, so you can cook during your stay.

The surrounding area is lined with offices and historic buildings of financial companies such as Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, giving the city a modern impression. The area is called Wallstreet West because of the concentration of financial offices.

What is the Den Queen Bed Room like?
Guest room entrance door.
There was a kitchen by the entrance.
The room was big and clean. This time it was a short stay, but considering the long stay, I think that the size of the room and the facilities around the kitchen are perfect.
While the beds were soft and comfortable to sleep on, I personally thought that the pillows were a little too soft.
There was a TV on the other side of the bed that could be rotated.
The sofa can be turned into a bed.
The room seen from the window.
There was a window by the sofa. There was a building right across the hotel, so the view was not the best.
However, if I leaned forward, I could see the Hudson River on my right, and part of Manhattan Island. There is a room called City View King or City View Queen, so I think it is better to reserve that room.

Restaurants and Shops in the Hotel
I didn’t”t eat at the restaurant, but when I went to take a peek after dark, I found several groups of meals in the glass-enclosed seats with a good view.
The restaurant had a nice view, so it may be a nice place to have a romantic dinner.
For breakfast, to prevent coronavirus infection, only light meals placed at the venue were allowed to be taken back to your room.
Breakfast venue
Cereal
Granolla bar
Oatmeal and pastry
Jello and sandwiches
Yogurt and milk
Juice
There was a rooftop bar on the roof of the hotel. It happened that it was closed due to another guest’s charter, but when I asked at the front desk, I was able to unlock it and enjoy the view.
I could see the buildings in Manhattan up close.
I could also see the Statue of Liberty.
The view from the rooftop bar was beautiful.
There was a small shop in the hotel. They were selling chocolates, snacks, ice cream (Haagen-Dazs only), eye drops and aspirin.

Hotel Surroundings
The area around the hotel is a financial district, giving a quiet and calm impression. There is a train station next to the hotel so it may be a little loud in the middle of the night, but it wasn’t a big deal. There aren’t many tourist destinations around the hotel, but access to NY is excellent. It is recommended for those who want to stay in a calm atmosphere rather than the messy environment in NY city. It’s nice to take a walk along the Hudson River in the morning. Most of the people who stay at this hotel for non-business trips will travel to NY, but it is very easy to get to NY from the ferry terminal, which is a short walk from the hotel.
Sandwich shop just a short walk from the hotel.
There was Dunkin’ Donuts on the first floor of the hotel.

Staff and Guests
The staff were all very friendly. The rooftop bar was closed for another guest’s charter, but when I consulted at the front desk, I was able to unlock it and take pictures.
Due to the corona virus pandemic, there were not many people staying for traveling purposes. There seemed to be more businessmen staying.

Access
I think most people generally take a taxi from the airport. Since the hotel is located in the downtown area, there were many people on the streets. I don’t think it is safe for women to walk alone at night (anywhere in the US), but there are fast food and sandwich shops around the hotel so you can go shopping right away if you need something to eat.
The PATH train station is right next to the hotel.
View from J Owen Grundy Park near the hotel.

Summary
I had a nice stay at this hotel. Originally I was looking forward to the night view, so I was very disappointed when I was told that I couldn’t use the rooftop bar. However, I was able to explain the situation and finally go to the rooftop. The staff were very understanding. As expected, the night view from the roof was amazing, and the room was big and I was able to relax. When traveling to NY, I think that those who place importance on access to sightseeing spots should stay in the city, but if you want to enjoy the night view from the outside or if you want to enjoy a calm atmosphere, this is the way to go. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
