I decided to stay at the "Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay" for my trip to Bali. It is a luxury hotel, but also child friendly. I often see guests with children and babies staying here. All rooms are villas with a private pool. There is a public pool as well, but the private pool is safer when swimming with children. You can take walks, swim in the pool and ocean and spend a relaxing time at the hotel.

There is a security gate before the entrance.

There is a front desk, but you can check in while sitting on the sofa.

What is the Family Premier Villa like?
The villa seen from the outside.
The entrance to the villa.
A wooden door.
There was a pool and terrace right after going through the entrance.
The roos was well maintained. There is a desk and sofa in the middle of the room. The family premier villas have a small kid’s room with a bed, desk and a TV.
The bed was a bit high, but it was very comfortable to seep on. Apart from regular cleaning, there is a turndown service from evening to night.

This is the kids room. There was a trundle bed that could be pulled out from under the main bed.
There was also a TV and desk in the kids room.
The terrace and pool.
There was a private pool.
When you are in the pool you can see the roof of the other villas, trees and the ocean. Since the airport is nearby you can also see the airplanes taking-off and landing.
There was also a barre with a sofa and table. You can have drinks and food by the pool.

Bathroom
There was a bathtub with a shower, and also a shower booth.
There was a pillow on the bathtub, so you can lie down and relax.
There was bath salt and scented incense prepared next to the bathtub.
Towels.
There was a shower room and a toilet behind the two sinks.
Toilet.
The shower room does not have a door and is a little lower than the normal floor, so water splashed on the floor. There was a bath mat, so it did not bother me too much. There was a rain shower and a movable shower which was easy to use. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap were prepared in the shower room.
Two sinks.
Tissue, soap and body lotion.
Amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, comb, cotton, swab and nail file were prepared in a drawer under the sink.
There was also toothbrush and toothpaste for children.
Hair dryer.
You can go outside form the bathroom. There was a rack for hanging clothes.
An outdoor shower space for washing your body after swimming in the pool.

Closet and safe
There was a closet in the hallway.
There was a shelf in the middle of the closet, and there was a space for hanging clothes on both sides. The closet was tall enough to hang long outfits. Inside, were umbrellas, laundry bags, spare pillows, etc.

Mini bar and cafe
There was an espresso machine, electric kettle, ice bucket, water and cups.
In addition, there were two kinds of black tea, and also herbal tea and green tea.
Tea set.
There were drinks prepared in the fridge, but they were a little overpriced.

Restaurants and shops in the hotel
There was a restaurant called “Taman Wantilan” near the lobby.
It was an open-air restaurant and I had breakfast and dinner here. They were offering food buffet-style.
Bread.
Everything was delicious.
There was also a beach club that was casual during the day and turns into an elegant restaurant at night.
A beautiful beachfront setting with a 57 meter long pool. You can enjoy creative Asian food and original cocktails with live music playing in the background.
There was a boutique, selling souvenirs, clothes, chocolate, accessories and more.
They were a little overpriced.

Facilities in the hotel
There are two public pools. This is the larger pool.
There are chairs by the pool, but they were always occupied.
The other pool has a waterfall and a jacuzzi.
If you sit in one of the chairs a staff will bring you a towel. There is also a mineral water service.
A kids club next to the beach.
There was also a loft.
A pool at the kids club.
There was also a spa.

Beach
Although it was not a private beach there was a beach in front of the hotel. However, depending on the location of the villa, there may be a considerable distance to the beach. If that’s the case, you can ride the buggy to the beach.
It is not a private beach, so there were locals and guests from other hotels playing there as well. The hotel was having an event, Sunset Cocktail Yoga, on the beach in front of the restaurant.

Hotel Surroundings
It was very quiet around the hotel. The sound of cars did not bother me in my villa, but if you are staying in a villa closer to the streets you might hear the sounds of cars and motorcycles passing. There are many hotels and villas around, but I did not see anyone walking on the streets.

Staff and Guests
Everyone was very friendly and always greeted me with a smile. They were also used to handling kids which was very helpful at times. As for the guests, I saw many families and couples. I got the impression that Westerners and Asians were half and half.

Access
It takes less than 30 minutes from the airport by car if there is no traffic. There are some seafood restaurants along the beach that you can get to on foot. Other than that, you may need to take a taxi. It is a safe neighborhood, but there are not many shops and restaurants near the hotel, so it was a little dark. There is a shopping arcade within a 5 minute drive with souvenir shops, restaurants and supermarkets. As it is located in the southern part of Bali, Uluwatu Temple is relatively close, but if you plan on going to other tourist destinations, it will take quite a while.

Summary
I was satisfied with everything. My children are 7 and 4 years old, so it was very helpful that the staff were used to handling children. Also, the staff were always smiling and I had many pleasant interactions with them. You can also get treatments at the spa which is very refreshing.
